Blue Door Café
The Blue Door Café, located near Victoria Quay in Port Alberni, offers all-day breakfast. The breakfast was okay (rating = C+), and the ambience perfect.

Stamp River
Photo taken south of the fish ladder in Stamp River Provincial Park.  Every year, starting in late August and continuing into December, sockeye, coho and Chinook salmon fight their way up the falls and fish ladders on their way to spawning beds. Underwater video cameras allow visitors to view the salmon on TV monitors.

Modern Café Neon
The Modern Café, located in Nanaimo, was established in 1946. The original Classical Period Revival-style building was constructed in 1910, and significantly altered in the 1940s and 1950s. The recently renovated neon sign was erected in the mid-1940s. The old diner-style interior has had a recent modern-look facelift. The new interior look is a bit too chic for my taste. The food was good (rating = B).

Well, I wanted to see what you consider too chic. Love the neon sign. Glad the food was good. You would think we could let fish do their amorous thing in privacy. Good stuff, Leon.

Nice series of shots. Probably "The Modern Cafe" is my favorite. Perfect exposure, great composition and colors, and interesting lines.
