Hole n' the Rock
Hole n' the Rock is a 5,000 square foot home carved out of a huge rock formation in Utah's Canyonlands Country. Albert Christensen began construction of his rock home in the 1940s, digging, carving, and blasting for 12 years before moving his family in, and opening a unique diner for passersby.  Today, the Hole n’ the Rock is a successful roadside attraction that includes a trading post. Inside the home are 14 rooms arranged around huge pillars, with shelving carved right out of the walls, a fireplace with a 65-foot chimney drilled through solid sandstone, a deep french fryer, and a bathtub built into the rock.

Wilson Arch
Wilson Arch is a natural sandstone arch. It has a span of 91 feet and height of 46 feet. The elevation of Wilson Arch is about 6,150 feet. Wilson Arch was named after Joe Wilson, a local pioneer who had a cabin nearby in Dry Valley. Over time superficial cracks, joints, and folds of these layers were saturated with water. Ice formed in the fissures, melted under extreme desert heat, and winds cleaned out the loose particles. A series of free-standing fins remained. Wind and water attacked these fins until, material gave way and chunks of rock tumbled out creating the arch.

Our country is rich with scenic diversity, beautiful Leon!
Have you been down the coast between CoosBay and Charleston?
An incredible little know state park, with very beautiful and weird
rock formations that wave action has created over hundreds of years,
Check "Shore Acres."
